Breathedge 2 is available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store at Early Access launch on August 31, 2026. Console versions are planned but have no confirmed release dates. This page covers the current platform situation and what is known about future releases.

PC platforms at launch
Steam
Breathedge 2 launched on Steam as app 2412960. This is the primary platform and the one this wiki references most directly. Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, and full controller support are all listed. Steam Trading Cards were added in Hotfix 0.8.6.
The Steam page is the official home for the game. Patch notes, community discussions, and the official news hub all live there. RedRuins uses the Steam announcement system as the primary communication channel.
Epic Games Store
Breathedge 2 also launched on the Epic Games Store on August 31, 2026. The Epic version has the same Early Access build as Steam. The Epic store does not list the same community features as Steam but offers the game through Epic is direct competitor to Steam for PC distribution.
Epic offered the original Breathedge as a free claim through September 3, 2026 as a promotional tie-in with the sequel launch. This was a limited-time offer tied to the launch week.
Which platform to choose
Both platforms have the same game content. The choice is primarily about ecosystem:
- Steam: Better community features, achievements, workshop potential, and the platform this wiki references
- Epic: Epic Store rewards points, no achievement system, but some players prefer the launcher
RedRuins has not indicated any exclusive content for either platform.
Console status
PlayStation 5
Breathedge 2 is listed on PlayStation with no confirmed release date. Third-party release calendars have listed a 2027 window, but this is an estimate, not a confirmed date from RedRuins.
The PC launch is August 31, 2026. The PlayStation version does not have an announced date. Treat 2027 as the earliest possible window based on third-party calendars, not as a confirmed release window.
Xbox Series X|S
The game is listed for Xbox Series X|S. Like the PlayStation version, no confirmed release date exists. Third-party release calendars have listed a 2027 window.
