Breathedge 2 Resources
Pipes, suitcases, Chuck's Taxi, and the junk worth the carry weight.
Resources are the reason you leave an airlock. Breathedge 2 wants you to dismantle the world, not just pocket coins. This page is a field guide for the materials the opening chapter actually talks about. Recipes will shift in Early Access; spawn logic is more stable: commons in clutter, rares on landmarks.
Always confirm a named material in the in-game Encyclopedia. The pinned developer FAQ for the demo ended every answer that way. This wiki is the second opinion. Pair it with crafting and survival so you do not loot yourself into a weight lock.
Plastic
FAQ answer: it is everywhere. Best look: pipes and suitcases. That means interiors, cargo clusters, and any wreck that still has a cabin. Plastic feeds early tools and probably half the joke recipes. If a quest says “find plastic,” you are standing near some. Stop boosting toward the planet.
Carry rule: take a stack, not a museum. Plastic is common enough that a full backpack of it is a death sentence with extra steps.
Titanium
Demo answer: behind Chuck’s Taxi. You did not need much to complete that slice. That is the rare-resource pattern. Unique vehicle wrecks hide the metals that crafting treats as bottlenecks. If Early Access moves Chuck, the lesson stays: read the landmark in the quest text, fly to the unique object, look behind / under / inside it.
Do not strip-mine an entire debris field for titanium. You will run out of oxygen first. See stations for how unique wrecks are supposed to feel on the map.
Aluminum and other demo metals
The Next Fest demo explicitly listed aluminum in the “you still get” pile alongside a crowbar and a chicken. Treat aluminum as a mid-common: more scarce than plastic, less mythical than titanium. Electronics, inductors, generators, and similar names showed up in the first game’s later chapters; if the sequel reuses them, they will sit on machinery you are meant to dismantle, not on dirt nodes.
If an object highlights as salvage, that is the resource loop. If it highlights as a tool, see tools.
Duct tape
The store page asks whether the Man can save the galaxy with an immortal Chicken and some duct tape. Yes, tape is a real material. It will be in the joke writing and in recipes. Keep a small stack. Do not treat it as infinite just because the trailer mentions it every twelve seconds.
Food, water, fuel cells
These are resources with meters. Survival covers the loop. Developer shorts exist for water and for feeding the Man. Fuel cells matter when recharge stations are far; the Spraytron FAQ said craft them if you cannot reach a post. Consumables belong in the suit, not in a crate you forgot in Babe’s cabin. Crew.
Weight, stacks, and the backpack lie
The HUD tracks carrying capacity. Tool cards list kilograms. A jackhammer at 4 kg is already a chunk of your budget. Every extra souvenir is slower EVA and a longer oxygen tax. Build a dump habit:
- Loot a wreck.
- Return to shuttle or known interior.
- Park joke items.
- Keep quest parts, one tool kit, food, water, tape, and a plastic buffer.
- EVA again.
The walkthrough will name landmarks when a job is actually a fetch. This page is for when the job is “find X” and X is a noun the Encyclopedia understands.
What this page will not do
It will not list every crate ID. It will not pretend Early Access has a static spawn table. When a major update adds planetary resources, that belongs with the roadmap and a later edit. Until you are on a planet, you are a scavenger in wrecks. Look in pipes. Look in suitcases. Look behind the taxi. Then go craft something that keeps you breathing.
If a material is not here, search the Encyclopedia, then items. If you cannot lift off, you already have too much of everything.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where do I find plastic in Breathedge 2?
Everywhere, especially pipes and suitcases. The developer FAQ said so for the demo, and that is still the right first look.
Where do I find titanium?
The demo answer was behind Chuck's Taxi, and you did not need much. Rares sit on unique landmarks. Confirm in the Encyclopedia.
Should I pick up every poster and gag item?
No. Carry capacity is a survival meter. Dump jokes in a shuttle and keep tape, plastic, and quest parts. See survival.
Is duct tape actually used?
Yes. It is both a running joke and a crafting material. Keep a small stack.
